New Delhi, April 14:  The police has arrested a 45-year-old labourer in Jaipur on Tuesday for allegedly raping a minor. The police have confirmed that the minor’s mother complained about the rape of her daughter. A massive hunt was launched and about 200 policemen were deployed to trace the accused. The accused was arrested within a few hours after the crime was reported.

 

DCP of South Jaipur, Harendra Mahawar told Life News that the mother of the eight-year-old girl complained to the Shyam Nagar Police Station alleging that her daughter was raped by a labourer Mukesh. The woman along with her children lives in an under-construction building where the accused raped the girl on Monday.

 

Police also confirmed that the girl’s medical examination was being conducted and the accused was being questioned further. Mahawar also told Life News that initially the accused tried to mislead the police but the team spotted an accused who had his face covered and was heading towards a bus stand on a 200-foot bypass road. But when the police looked closely, the man’s face matched with the description of the accused so they asked for more details. When the man suspected he was exposed, he tried to run away but was caught.
