This is a critique by Network of Women in Media India (NWMI) on the recent judgement order in the rape case in which the founder of Tehelka, Tarun Tejpal was acquitted.
This arrest was made on the basis of two separate complaints lodged by students after Tamil Nadu police set up a designated phone number of which student could complain about sexual abuse.
This incident has opened the floodgates as several students and parents from as many as 30 schools and colleges have complained of sexual harassment by their teachers.
