The girl's body which was pulled out of the pyre was sent for post mortem but due to the severe charring of the body the doctors were unable to ascertain the cause of the death, it was learnt.
The plea stated that in 2019, the Supreme Court had directed the Department of Prosecution to set up special POCSO courts in each district with more than 100 cases under the POCSO Act.
A third accused was 15-years-old at the time of the crime so he was tried in a juvenile court while the other two rapists were tried as adults as they were 16-years-old when the crime was committed.
Police were able to nab the accused with the help of clues which they picked up in another case of sexual misconduct in the same area by the same person
